Fifth Grade

The fifth grade classroom is a well-balanced, yet diverse program for the students. The program includes reading, language, spelling, writing, math, science, history, and Bible. Field trips, assembly programs, and sporting events are frequently scheduled. Homework is assigned Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.

Below is a listing of curriculum that we use at Greenbrier Enrichment Center and School:

  • Bible: ACSI Elementary Bible Series (Association of Christian Schools International)
  • Math: Envision by Pearson
  • Science: Delta Science
  • Social Studies: Harcourt Horizons
  • Language: Evan Moor, Bob Jones
  • Reading: Literacy by Design – Houghton Mifflin Harcourt

Independent Reading: Some class time is allocated for independent reading and testing through Book Adventures. All students are expected to set personal goals and can choose form a variety of genre.
